We have started this year off strong with three work days so far and are looking forward to a fourth voluteer event this coming Saturday, July 5, from 9 am to noon (ish). Please join us! We are happy to have any volunteers, new or old, come share in the fun of gardening. We have some mulch to spread, too many thistles to pull, bushes to trim, and weeds to wack!
New to gardening? No worries! Come join just to learn about some of the plants we have in the gardens (new and old!) and check out what is flowering. Expert gardeners will be on site this weekend to share some fun knowledge with you!

Thank you to all the volunteers, old and new, who helped with clean-up and pruning this fall! As the winter settles in, Blair Street Gardens will be in full hibernation mode. While our perennial plants have gone dormant, feel free to stop by the gardens to check out our evergreen trees and shrubs and enjoy some winter scenery!
With our new volunteers and board members, we are working on refreshing our internet presence. Stay tuned for updates to our website and social media!
We are also starting to think about scheduled workdays at the gardens for the upcoming growing season. Stay tuned!

We are pleased to announce that BSG has installed a second bench at The Gateway Garden. The bench honors Jeff Kuesel, one of BSG’s co-founders. Due to his tireless dedication over nearly 30 years, the BSG continues today. Jeff handled the administration and fundraising, and he spent endless hours planting spring bulbs and summer annuals and tending to the perennials and shrubs. Many of you will remember seeing him working in the Gardens in all kinds of weather during evenings and weekends. Thank you to all who contributed! The bench, designed by local artists Michael Burns and Kevin Earley, is made of white oak and aluminum.
Consider memorializing a loved one by purchasing a tree or bench. Click here for details.
