PRUNING DEMONSTRATION/WORKSHOP and FALL CLEAN-UP SCHEDULED

Ever wonder how to properly prune evergreens and deciduous shrubs? Find out on Saturday, November 16 from 9 - 11 a.m. at Wilson Green when Gary Tipler will demonstrate pruning to promote good form and healthy growth. Gary is a seasoned gardener who has helped care for the evergreens at the Blair Street Gardens, and planned the original landscape design for Wilson Green.

Wilson Green is located on E. Wilson Street toward the Capitol, just past the intersection of Willy Street and John Nolen Drive. It's across from The Cardinal Bar and Come Back Inn.

We have pruning tools, but feel free to bring your own if you wish.

We will also be doing some fall clean-up.

Wilson Green volunteers cleaned up for the winter on November 12, 2022

Treasurer Still Needed

Do you like to count money? BSG is looking for a volunteer to handle the duties of Treasurer. Duties take an average of 2 hours a month, less in some months, more in others. Duties include maintaining financial records and mailing lists, handling mail, paying bills, processing contributions, etc. Ideally, the volunteer should be familiar with Excel. If interested or for more information, email BSG at info@blairstreetgardens.org.
